Privacy policy

When you place an order: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number. We need these to fulfil and deliver your order.

Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's checkout and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive only the last four digits and the card brand, for support purposes.

When you email us: whatever you choose to put in the message, retained so we can handle your enquiry and any follow-up.

Basic technical data such as pages visited and referring site, used in aggregate to understand what is and is not working on the site.

Order data is processed because it is necessary to perform our contract with you — we cannot ship a computer without an address.

Support correspondence and aggregate analytics are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving the shop.

Marketing email, if you opt in, is processed on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link.

Stripe, to take payment. Shipping carriers, to deliver your order. Our email provider, to send you receipts and replies.

Each of these receives only the data needed for its specific job. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Order records are kept for seven years, because tax and accounting law requires it.

Support correspondence is kept for two years. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email REPLACE-ME@example.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Deletion requests are honoured except where we are legally required to retain order records — in that case we restrict the data to accounting use only.

If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

We use a single first-party browser storage key to remember what is in your cart between visits. It contains product identifiers and quantities only — no personal data — and it never leaves your browser.

Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout for fraud prevention. These are necessary for payment to work.
