We got tired of guessing which mini PC was any good.

Search “mini PC” and you get four hundred near-identical boxes with invented brand names, copy-pasted spec sheets, and reviews that could mean anything. Half of them ship with single-channel memory that halves the graphics performance. Some come with unlicensed Windows. Almost none tell you what the fan sounds like at full load.

TechUp exists to cut through that. We pick a small range, we test each model before we list it, and we write down what we actually found — including the parts that are merely fine. If a cheaper machine in our range will do your job, we'll tell you that instead of upselling you.

How we choose what to sell

• Dual-channel memory or it doesn't get listed

  Integrated graphics live and die on memory bandwidth. A single stick of RAM can cost you 40% of your frame rate. Every mini PC we stock ships with two.

• Licensed Windows, or none at all

  Where a machine ships with Windows 11 Pro, the licence is genuine and transferable. Where it doesn't, we say so and point you at a Linux install guide.

• Serviceable by a normal person

  Bottom panels that open with a screwdriver. Standard M.2 and SO-DIMM slots. No glued shells, no proprietary storage.

• Thermals measured, not assumed

  We run a 30-minute sustained load and record clock speeds and noise. If a machine throttles hard or screams, it doesn't make the range.

How we ship

We work directly with the factories that build these machines, which is how the pricing stays where it is. Orders leave the warehouse within two business days and arrive in 3–10 business days depending on where you are. Everything carries a 2-year warranty and a 30-day no-questions return window — we pay return postage on faults.
